Teaching and Learning Leader conference

Audience: South Australian Teaching & Learning Leaders 
When: Tuesday 27 October 2026, 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm 
Location: Online (Microsoft Teams) 

The SACE Board’s strategic purpose is to co-design a Passport to Thrive in partnership with schools. As Subject Renewal moves into its next phase, this conference provides an important opportunity to better understand emerging directions and what they will mean for schools in practice. You'll gain greater visibility of timelines and implementation considerations, contribute your perspective, and explore opportunities for continued partnership with the SACE Board as implementation planning progresses. 

Our goals for the conference are to: 

  • Share the feedback we received through Subject Renewal consultation and the Semester 1 Teaching and Learning Leaders Conference 
  • Provide clarity and confidence in the Subject Renewal roadmap, timelines, accreditation process, and next steps 
  • Share the draft implementation approach and collaborate on refining implementation support and professional learning  
  • Strengthen the partnership between Teaching and Learning Leaders and the SACE Board as we move into implementation 

Participants will: 

  • Hear the key themes emerging from Subject Renewal consultation and how the feedback is informing future design and implementation decisions. 
  • Actively contribute to the design of future Teaching and Learning Leader partnerships with the SACE Board, including implementation support structures 
  • Build meaningful connections and hear authentic perspectives from colleagues 
  • Leave with greater confidence to communicate upcoming changes, engage colleagues in discussions, and support implementation within your school context.  

Teaching and Learning Leader conferences bring together school leaders to shape perspectives, inform implementation approaches, and strengthen collective leadership across the system. 

NOTE: Up to two representatives per school may attend. Attendees should be Teaching and Learning Leaders, curriculum leaders, or equivalent school-based leaders.
