The Legal Studies folio is assessed by the school and moderated at Stage 2. Teachers select moderation samples and submit materials online.

Students undertake four assessments for the folio. At least one folio assessment must be conducted under direct supervision. A minimum of one task must correspond to the option study of choice.

Every task should be designed so that students can demonstrate their conceptual and contextual learning. Students must have the opportunity to analyse and evaluate on each assessment.

Each task does not need to have the same word limit or time limit. However, the combined folio assessments should be a maximum of 4000 words if written, or the equivalent of 24 minutes in oral or multimodal form.
