School assessment

The Drama responding to drama assessment type is assessed by the school.

For a 10-credit subject students undertake one task.

For a 20-credit subject students undertake two tasks.

Students demonstrate their understanding, analysis and evaluation of professionally created drama productions and/or experiences in an oral, multimodal or written response.

Students choose to respond to one or more works or dramatic experiences in their response. They analyse and evaluate the contribution of practitioners to the artistic and cultural value of the work(s) or experience(s). Students should consider the intention and realisation of the professional dramatic artist(s) creative choices in their response.

A task should be a maximum of 5 minutes if oral or multimodal, or 800 words if written.
