Assessment Type 2: Dance Contexts

School assessment Weighting: 30%

The dance contexts assessment type is assessed by the school and moderated at Stage 2. Teachers select moderation samples and submit materials online.

Students complete two tasks:

  • recording – one or two recorded performances that demonstrate choreographic intent for stage or screen
  • choreographic analysis – one or two written, oral, or multimodal choreographic analyses.
