Subject information

Students gain an understanding of Aboriginal histories and achievements, and of Aboriginal perspectives on culture, land, and identity. They examine social and political viewpoints through Aboriginal arts and literature, and develop their knowledge and understanding of the different forms and effects of, and ways to counter, racism.

Students critically analyse a contemporary issue of significance to Aboriginal people, and engage in intercultural communication and understanding.

Changes to moderation sample selection

From 2017, the SACE Board will no longer select Stage 2 moderation samples for school assessed materials. Teachers will select the moderation sample.
