The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) is a leading Australian senior secondary qualification, recognised for its innovative approach to curriculum and assessment, including as the first assessment authority in Australia to introduce electronic exams.

Test Analyst (ASO5 - more than one position)

The Test Analyst is accountable to the Quality Assurance Team Leader for analysing, planning and performing functional (including automation) or non-functional testing, reporting on software testing progress, outcomes and administrating software testing evidence and documents for in house developed or third party SaaS based applications.

Special conditions:
There are two roles available which are temporary/term vacancies for up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

An intense time of activity within the SACE Board of South Australia occurs between October and December. The incumbent would not normally be able to take planned leave during this period. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory background screening and national criminal history check obtained through the Screening and Licensing Unit, Department for Human Services.

Database Architect (ASO7)

The Database Architect is accountable to the IT Services Team Leader for providing a comprehensive range of Microsoft SQL database architecture and administration services including server maintenance, patching, troubleshooting and maintaining the data integrity of the SACE Board of South Australia technology ecosystem. The Database Architect is required to work collaboratively with all SACE Board groups and other stakeholders within the Information Services team, and external vendors to ensure that new business initiatives are factored into future SACE Board database strategies.

Special conditions:
This is a term/temporary vacancy up to 30 June 2023. 

An intense time of activity within the SACE Board of South Australia occurs between October and December. For some roles, the incumbent would not normally be able to take planned leave during this period.

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory background screening and national criminal history check obtained through the Screening Unit, Department of Human Services.

Requirements:
An appropriate tertiary degree in education and/or training.
