In June 2018, The Minister for Education, the Hon. John Gardner MP announced a review into the Stage 2 requirements of the South Australia Certificate of Education (SACE).

On Thursday 6 December 2018, the SACE Stage 2 Review report [PDF 2MB] was tabled in Parliament and is now publicly available to the community.

Led by independent reviewer Wendy Johnson, the report contains 16 recommendations related to the SACE, informed by a consultation process that included numerous submissions, face-to-face meetings and more than 1500 survey responses.

The review was conducted with the support of the SACE Board. 

The SACE Board has made its official response to the review and a two page factsheet [PDF 171KB] outlines the Board’s position on the recommendations.
