Subject Assessment Advice
To support teachers with their subjects, Stage 2 Subject Assessment Advice for all subjects have been included on our website in each subject area. These resources provide useful information about the strengths and areas for improvement that our markers and moderators saw at the end of 2023 and how teachers might better support students to approach their learning in 2024.
As the Stage 2 Curriculum Forums are running, 2024 PLATO courses with new materials will be made available and communicated directly to schools. -

SACE Stage 2 art teachers are invited to nominate work from up to five students. Deadline to nominate student work is 5pm, Tuesday 5 December, 2023.

Governor of South Australia Commendation nominations
Nominations for the prestigious Governor of South Australia Commendations are now open and schools are encouraged to nominate eligible students.

Exploring Identities and Futures (EIF)
EIF will be rolled out across South Australia in 2024, replacing the current Stage 1 compulsory subject Personal Learning Plan (PLP).
Throughout the remainder of this year, the SACE Board will support all South Australian schools to develop their confidence with EIF. Further information is available on our website including:
- Subject description suitable for course handbooks
- A roadmap and summary list of professional learning provided by the SACE Board that your staff can book into now, and future sessions that will run through term 3.

Subject outline changes for Nationally assessed languages at continuers level
The national CCAFL framework has been renewed, and as a result changes have been made to the Nationally Assessed Languages at Continuers Level subject outline.
Stage 1 will be taught in 2024, and Stage 2 will be taught in 2025.
We are offering information sessions that focus on these changes.

VET Skill Sets now recognised towards the SACE
The policy for recognition of VET in the SACE has been enhanced to recognise Skills Sets from nationally endorsed training packages. From May 2022 onwards, the SACE Board will be including Skill Sets in the VET Recognition Register and in Schools Online.
