Subject Renewal progress

The SACE Board is committed to ensuring that the broader education community is kept informed of Subject Renewal progress and the activities of the Subject Renewal Groups (SRGs).

Subjects have been separated into three groups and are progressing at different paces, working through four key phases towards implementation, as outlined in our Subject Renewal roadmap. Below is the latest update on the progress of each subject group.

Group 1 subjects

Group 1 subjects have progressed through the Engage & discover, Develop, and Test, learn & adapt phases in 2025 and are at various stages of the internal quality assurance process.

During term 4, group 1 subject teachers, students, Lead Practitioners, subject associations and other education leaders came together for a Learning Event to reflect on the impact of Stage 1 learning and assessment prototypes and how the Subject Renewal key drivers [PPTX 1.2MB] are coming to life in the classroom.

Evaluation findings and plans for how group 1 subjects will progress next year will be shared early in 2026.
