E-exams
Training

To support the successful implementation of e-exams, we've developed training programs for key staff in schools.

The SACE Electronic Examination Instruction Guide [PDF 4.2MB] provides information on how to use the e-exam system and manage exam day situations. Each school's SACE coordinator, exam school administrator, exam invigilator and IT manager should review this.

There are three phases to the training. Each phase builds on the previous one.

Phase 1 - Role clarification

Phase 1 focuses on role clarification and the allocation of tasks to prepare schools for the practice window.

Refer to the following guide and worksheet.

Phase 2 - Learning exam features

A one-hour online training course in PLATO that focuses on the features of the e-exam system. SACE coordinators, IT managers (if applicable) and invigilators will use this system to administer the final end-of-year examination.

Phase 3 - Managing situations on exam day

This training focuses on preparing all e-exam personnel to be competent and in control when managing situations (such as student device failure) that may occur on examination day.
