Note: This workshop is intended for teachers of Stage 2 Physical Education classes in 2020. Please do not book into a workshop unless you are currently teaching Stage 2 Physical Education.

To support teachers currently planning for, and implementing, the new Stage 2 Physical Education course, a two hour workshop is being offered that will provide the opportunity for teachers to discuss their:

• learning and assessment plan(s)
• programming of the teaching and learning activities for the year
• assessment tasks that have been written or are currently being planned.

Teachers are asked to bring with them a copy of the following materials to support discussions:

• the Stage 2 Physical Education Subject Outline (for teaching in 2020)
• their own 2020 Physical Education learning and assessment plan and any current programming for the year
• any assessment tasks already prepared for use in 2020, or being considered, for discussion.

Some short presentations will be provided to stimulate thinking about various aspects of the new course.

Teachers are expected to complete the online PLATO Implementation course before attending a face-to-face workshop. You will find the course at this link.

VIDEO CONFERENCE - For teachers from rural and remote schools ONLY:

Two hour video conferences have been specifically offered to accommodate rural and remote teachers who are unable to attend scheduled workshops. It is expected that teachers from metropolitan schools will attend a scheduled workshop.

Please note: funding for TRTs and travel is not available for the implementation workshops.
