Title Stage 1 and Stage 2 Design, Technology, and Engineering – Implementation Workshops
Description

The SACE Board has reviewed, renewed, and accredited the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Design, Technology, and Engineering subject outlines. An additional workshop is being offered to support the teaching of Stage 1 and Stage 2 Design, Technology, and Engineering in 2020.

The implementation workshop will include:​​​​​​​​​​

  • an overview of the new Design, Technology and Engineering subject outline for teaching in 2020
  • the assessment requirements for Stage 1 and Stage 2
  • assessment task design
  • pre-approved learning and assessment plans.

Workshop materials: Teachers are asked to bring a copy of the Board-accredited Stage 1 Design, Technology and Engineering subject outline and Stage 2 Design, Technology and Engineering subject outline to the workshop (both documents are available on the New Design, Technology and Engineering subjects in 2020 webpage).

To gain maximum benefit from attending the workshop, teachers are strongly encouraged to complete the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Design, Technology and Engineering - Online Implementation Course before attending a face-to-face workshop.

Please note: funding for TRTs and travel is not available for the implementation workshops.
