Title Using a Collaborative Approach to Understand Politics, Power and People (Stages 1 and 2)
Description

The SACE Board has reviewed, renewed, and accredited the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Politics, Power and People subject outline for teaching in 2021.

Implementation activities for Stage 1 and Stage 2 Politics, Power and People are being delivered through an online implementation course using PLATO and face to face workshop.

Teachers are expected to complete the online PLATO implementation course before attending the face to face workshop. The PLATO course will be available within the next week, and the community will be notified via email.

Teachers should download a copy of the Board-accredited, pre-edited subject outline and bring a copy to the workshop. The subject outline can be downloaded from the Australian and International Politics minisite).

The face to face workshop includes:

  • Introduction to Politics, Power and People
  • Making sense of Politics, Power and People
  • Changing how we teach (Stage 1)
  • Engaging students and the power of collaboration (Stages 1 and 2)
  • Assessing using the new performance standards (Stages 1 and 2)
  • Networked Learning Community for Politics, Power and People.

Please note: funding for TRTs and travel is not available for the implementation workshops.
