The SACE Board has reviewed, renewed, and accredited the Stage 1 Dance subject outline for teaching in 2020.

Implementation activities for Stage 1 Dance are being delivered through a combination of online implementation courses using PLATO and face-to-face workshops.

To gain maximum benefit from attending the workshop, teachers are strongly encouraged to complete the online PLATO course before attending a face-to-face workshop.

Teachers are asked to bring a copy of the Board-accredited, pre-edited subject outline with them to the workshop (available on the Dance minisite).

The face-to-face workshop includes:

• thinking about pedagogical approaches
• active and practical learning opportunities, including designing and critiquing learning and assessment plans and tasks
• strategies to capture evidence.

Please note: funding for TRTs and travel is not available for the implementation workshops.
