Entry requirements for students

Students admitted to SACE International have usually completed the equivalent of:

  • Year 10 in their own country if they are commencing SACE Stage 1; or
  • Year 11 in their own country if they are undertaking only SACE Stage 2.

Colleges are able to offer one of two SACE International programs.

In either program, all students must complete 200 credits of subjects, of which 60 credits are at Stage 2 (with a C- grade or better).

Students undertaking the SACE International usually study the equivalent of 6 full-year subjects at Stage 1 (Year11) and 5 full-year subjects at Stage 2 (Year 12).

A subject that is studied for a full year is worth 20 credits.

To be successful in SACE International, students will typically have 5.0 IELTS or an equivalent level of English proficiency at the beginning of their Stage 1 studies.

SACE International colleges conduct their own English language preparatory programs to ensure their students have the best possible chance of succeeding in SACE International.
