Title Stage 1 and Stage 2 Outdoor Education – Implementation Workshops
Description

The SACE Board has reviewed, renewed, and accredited the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Outdoor Education subject outlines for teaching in 2020.

Implementation activities for Stage 1 and Stage 2 Outdoor Education are being delivered through a combination of online implementation courses using PLATO and face-to-face workshops.

To gain maximum benefit from attending the workshop, teachers are strongly encouraged to complete the online PLATO course before attending a face-to-face workshop. The PLATO course will be available during week beginning Monday 28 October.

Teachers are asked to bring a copy of the Board-accredited, pre-edited subject outline with them to the workshop (available on the Outdoor Education minisite or PLATO course)

The face-to-face workshop includes:

  • thinking and discussing new pedagogical approaches

  • collaborative practical learning opportunities, including designing and critiquing programs, learning and assessment plans and tasks

  • supporting students to capture evidence and use reflective practice.

Please note: funding for TRTs and travel is not available for the implementation workshops.
