Assessment Type 2: Language in Action

School assessment Weighting: 20%

The Australian Languages — Additional Language language in action assessment type is assessed by the school and moderated at Stage 2. Teachers select moderation samples and submit materials online by mid-November (Round A).

Students complete one language in action project.

This assessment type has two parts.

  • Part 1 Language in Action Project – collaborative task
  • Part 2 Review – individual task.

The language in action project may be presented in the chosen language or English or a combination of the chosen language and English. It should be no more than 500 words if written, five minutes if presented orally, or the equivalent in multimodal form.
