SACE Art Show 2016
The SACE Art Show 2016 showcased selected art and design work created by Year 12 Visual Arts students in 2015.
More than 120 pieces including paintings and drawings, sculptures, jewellery, costumes and multimedia works — completed as part of students’ South Australian Certificate of Education art and design studies — were on display.
A number of videos, and images of the art and design work are now available for viewing:

Zoe knew she wanted to do embroidered photography as part of her Visual Arts practical. She taught herself to embroider and did a lot of drawing to develop the final concept.
Jonathan looked to architects such as Zaha Hadid and Frank Lloyd Wright when designing his contemporary art gallery on Botanic Road. He wanted his design to be a living piece of art that balanced function with visual appeal.
Imogen created six portraits of her family members. She used different techniques and materials to present their contrasting personalities.
William says 'context shifting' — using tools as plants — played a large part in his artistic process. The main inspiration for his final work was prehistoric ferns.
Emily's work was inspired by the Alice in Wonderland stories. She explored the theme of escaping reality through the use of colour and picture book design.
The work of 12 former SACE Visual Arts students has been recognised with awards at the SACE Art Show 2016.
