SACE First Year Evaluation

The First Year Evaluation Panel was established in February 2012 to evaluate the first year of the new SACE and provide recommendations for areas of improvement.

The Evaluation Brief and the independent panel’s terms of reference were broad and were designed to facilitate consultation.

The panel considered a range of SACE data, as well as the content of 114 written submissions, numerous meetings with individuals and organisations, and the outcomes of surveys and research.

The evaluation process was supported by a reference committee, with representatives from the government, independent, and Catholic school sectors, and a range of other interested groups.
