Privacy statement

The SACE Board of South Australia is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This privacy statement tells you what information the SACE Board collects through its public website and how that information is used.

We will deal with your personal information in accordance with the South Australian Government's Information Privacy Principles. If we need to share your personal information with a third party, then we will ensure that we comply with the Information Privacy Principles.

The SACE Board uses Universal Analytics to monitor user trends, demographics and preferences. This information is used to improve the performance of the SACE website and to make your visit useful and informative.

Universal Analytics uses cookie tracking technology and collects the following information:

  • Your IP address and internet service provider
  • The date and time of your visit to the site
  • The pages accessed and documents downloaded
  • The time spent on individual pages and the site overall
  • The previous site visited
  • Search words used
  • The type of browser, device, and operating system used
  • User demographic indicators, as projected from a user's online browsing habits

The information collected through Universal Analytics is completely depersonalised which means that we cannot identify information specific to an individual user. We are instead provided with data showing general trends and indicators amongst all of our website's users.

The SACE Board will also collect your name and email address, should you wish to register for the online forum or for a SACE event. This personal information is used to administer these services and will be dealt with in accordance with the Information Privacy Principles.

Emails will be kept in accordance with disposal schedules issued under the State Records Act 1997.

This privacy statement will be continually reviewed in line with the ongoing development of the SACE website.
