SACE Art Show 2013
SACE Art Show 2013 poster winner: Perry Katropoulos, Melancholy
The SACE Art Show 2013 showcases selected art and design work created by Year 12 Visual Arts students in 2012. The art work on show ranges from traditional painting and drawing to innovative multimedia works.
The SACE Art Show is one of the SACE Board's biggest annual events, and each year the exhibition attracts thousands of visitors.
The exhibition will run from Monday 25 March to Wednesday 1 May at the Light Square Gallery, from 9am to 4pm weekdays. It will also be open on Saturday 6 April, Saturday 13 April and Saturday 20 April, from 10am to 4pm.
The exhibition will be closed for the Easter break, from Friday 29 March to Monday 1 April, and will reopen on Tuesday 2 April.
2012 Year 12 Visual Arts students whose work is selected to be showcased in the SACE Art Show 2013 will receive information packs in February.
The packs will contain information about the delivery and pickup of artwork, as well as instructions on labelling and displaying work.
Each year, a number of students are invited to lend their work for up to one year for display at the SACE Board office, the offices of the Minister for Education and the Teachers Registration Board. Invitations to lend artworks for this purpose will be posted in the days following the opening of the exhibition.

Booking information for teachers
Due to limited space within the gallery, to ensure that your school group is given the appropriate time and space to view the large range of works in the gallery, and to meet OHS&W requirements, you must make a booking for your group of students before you come to the gallery.
To ensure the safety and welfare of all visitors to the gallery, any school groups arriving at the Gallery without a booking may not be admitted.
A gallery supervisor is present daily from 9 am to 4 pm and is available to speak to your group upon request.
Please make sure students are supervised at all times.
If you wish to book over the phone or confirm an existing booking, call the SACE Board on (08) 8372 7400.
